Imagine a cozy caravan, hidden in the Zeeland countryside. Sounds like a peaceful place for a getaway, right? What makes this staycay even more attractive, however, is that it doesn’t look like a typical ‘romani wagon’ from the inside — book this gem for romantic French vibes!!

Pure and original

Owner Annette is a stylist by profession. It all started with the styling of her monumental house in Dordrecht and then one thing led to anothe. She collects, renovates and sells everything from unique, classic antiques to rustic, shabby-chic brocante. Her interior designs often combine new items with pure vintage finds in original layers of paint. She certainly does not paint over these old finds, so that they remain unique and valuable. Finally, she decided to expand her talents and rent out her own pipowagen in the back of her garden!

Romantic decor

Her love for antiques is evident in this gem. It is romantically decorated with soft blue walls, old white doors, French beds, fresh flowers and vintage accessories. The car still has its original layers of paint, so yes, it is peeling off. The bed frames are also still in their original condition, so yes, they are somewhat rusty. This enhances the wonderful vintage vibes and we can only applaud that!

Small and cozy

Although it is small and cozy inside, the car is equipped with the most important amenities. Prior to your stay, you can indicate whether you want a double bed or two separate single beds, and they will ensure that this is to your liking before arrival. Behind the old sliding doors in the gypsy wagon you will find a complete bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. In addition, there is also a coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, crockery and cutlery for two.

The area

‘Unfortunately’ there is not enough space to cook a good meal here, but that makes up for the surroundings. The car is located in Oost-Souburg in Zeeland, between Vlissingen and Middelburg – therefore, there are a lot of nice restaurants to go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were a little lazy plus it was raining – so we ordered something tasty, while we stretched out in our beds reading books (sometimes relaxing a bit is important too!).

A little piece of France in Zeeland!

Although the inside may be very small, there is a lot of space around the property. It is no punishment to sit in front of the wagon and enjoy the sun on your face. Top it off by stocking up on some wine and cheese for a drink, or maybe enjoy croissants with un café au lait for breakfast. Roozes really is like a little piece of France in Zeeland!
